Ashwagandha is traditionally used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine as a Rasayana (rejuvenative tonic) to relieve general debility, especially during convalescence or old age; as a sleep aid; to balance aggravated Vata (nervine tonic, sedative); and for memory enhancement.

Ashwagandha is also used for arthritis, anxiety, and insomnia. It is also a general tonic and adaptogen, increasing resistance to environmental stress.

St. Francis Herb Farm's Ashwagandha tincture is certified organic.

Ashwaganda is great for helping sustain energy levels - but not in a jittery way like caffeine or yerba maté. It is also an ‘adaptogenic’ herb - which means it adapts to supporting the body’s systems and glands wherever needed. It has centuries of documented usage in Ayurvedic medicine. I use it whenever I’m short on sleep, or getting run down, or my brain feels foggy.
